Amanda Fowler, CNM

Amanda Fowler, CNM, MSN, is a certified nurse midwife at May-Grant Obstetrics & Gynecology working mainly at the Good Drive office, as well as the two Healthy Beginnings offices in Lancaster city and Pennsylvania.

Amanda graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Columbia University in New York City and went on to study at Philadelphia University, where she earned her Master of Science in Nursing and her certified nurse midwife credentials. Before joining the May-Grant Obstetrics and Gynecology team in 2017,  she worked as a labor and delivery nurse at Lancaster General Women and Babies Hospital for over 15 years.  In 2014, she began her midwifery career at Southeast Lancaster Health Services. There, she served as a preceptor for the family practice medicine residents doing deliveries and provided pediatric care for newborns with the LGH- Penn Medicine Family Practice Residency/Southeast Lancaster Health Services maternity care practice.  

Amanda supports women’s choices to allow for a joyous, empowering and safe rite of passage into parenthood. She has expertise and interest in medical Spanish, family planning, centering prenatal care with the LGH-Penn Medicine Healthy Beginnings program, refugee health, and prenatal, perinatal, and infant loss. She maintains privileges at Penn Medicine’s Lancaster General Hospital and Women and Babies Hospital.

Outside of the office, Amanda enjoys spending time with her husband, son, and daughter. Some of their favorite activities include going on runs, streaming Netflix, playing games of Dutch Blitz, and competing in spike ball in the alley next to their home.

Additionally, your insurance coverage will be verified when you check in for your visit. Please confirm that we accept your insurance before booking online. If we do not accept your insurance, you will not be seen and your appointment will be canceled.
