Emily Reeher, CRNP, MSN is originally from Erie, PA. She attended Penn State and received a degree in Microbiology. She initially worked for 8 years as a supervisor in vaccine manufacturing prior to returning to school for Nursing. Emily received her BSN from Edinboro University and worked at Penn State Hershey and at the main hospital at LGH before moving to postpartum care at WBH in 2016. She found this new specialty very rewarding, including helping mothers learn to breastfeed and parents transition to their new roles. In 2019, she returned to school and obtained her MSN in family medicine from Pennsylvania College of Health Sciences.
Emily has developed a passion for providing care to women as they are often the decision makers for their family and consequently shape the health of their children. She likes to incorporate women’s partners in the plan and educate them on how they can help with major life changes such as postpartum and newborn care.
Outside of work, Emily enjoys spending time with her teenage daughter, exploring local theater and arts events. She loves being outdoors, running, hiking, or swimming and competing in various distance races and triathlons. She likes riding her motorcycle, and has recently found an interest in Philly sports teams. Emily usually attends at least one Penn State football game in the fall. “We Are!”
